The food here is amazing. We didn't have cash and they had a new credit card system that didn't yet allow for tipping. We felt awful about not being able to tip, but our server simply said, If you enjoyed the food, that's enough for me. We definitely enjoyed the food and will be back (with some extra cash) next time we're in Santa Clara.

I was craving biryani and discovered a place near work. We ordered biryani and chili chicken, which was more than enough for two. The biryani tasted fresh, and the chicken was juicy. However, I deducted a star because I've had better-tasting, less dry chicken before. That being said, it was still good overall. The service was prompt, and the ambiance complements the style of food they serve. I will definitely come back soon to try other biryani variants.

Hidden gem, food is too good. A real taste of India. Service is fast. Ambiance is simple and understated, but the food wins over me.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing - and as authentic as it can get. We ordered punugulu and chicken for the starter, both of them had an amazing taste and the cashew in the chicken starter made it taste so much better. It is the best meal we have been served in a while. For main course we ordered chapati with chicken curry and the dishes tasted so yummy we ordered a to-go as well. Next on my list are the biryanis they offer. Cannot wait to try them all :) On top of this, the staff truly cares about your experience and is delightful/professional. The manager (Sridhar) actively seeks customer feedback and incorporates it into future dishes/recipes. Delicious elaichi tea or filter coffee is added bonus! Must try in the bay area and highly recommended! 10/10

A small space that delivers on the flavors. We stopped by on a weeknight craving spicy Indian food and Golkonda lived up to our expectations. We had the Andhra chicken curry, kadai paneer, gobi Manchurian and a variety of naans and rice. Food was quick to arrive and had a good spice level which we appreciated. I noticed several takeout orders, and considering their home style flavors, I wasn't surprised. Service was prompt and courteous and our server was helpful I'm suggesting spicy dishes when we asked for recommendations. We did have to ask for the sides of onions and lemon which are typically served with the food in a lot of Indian places. Overall, a solid take out spot, I'll be back!

A hidden gem when you are craving for some scrumptious Indian food. It's a casual, no frills restaurant tucked away in a corner behind the Shell gas station. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were welcomed by the delicious aroma of the food, instantly transporting us to the restaurants in India. We happened to come here by chance when searching for some dinner options while heading back home after a tiring day and had zero expectations as we had never heard of this restaurant before. But we liked the flavors so much that we are excited to go back and try more dishes on the menu. For appetizer we had the methi chicken and it was a bit oily yes but delicious nonetheless. The flavor of methi was blending so perfectly with the chicken. The chicken was also moist and cooked well. In the main course we had the Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani and the spices in the biryani were so good that I can't wait to try their other biryani options. They were quite generous in their quantity of raita unlike lot of other biryani restaurants. Their service was pretty quick and the server was extremely nice in giving us recommendations when we told him it's our first time. He even asked us later on to give him honest feedback about the food and if we wanted to try anything else. All in all, great food, great service and great value for money.

This restaurant is a bit tucked away compared to the other Indian restaurants in Santa Clara strewn across El Camino Real. This was nice because it was not crowded at all when I tried it during lunch. Overall, I thought the food was solid. Ordered the naan (fluffy inside, toasted and crispy on the outside), chicken biryani (not too spicy, good taste and a generous amount of chicken), and butter chicken (tasted well, good amount of chicken). All dishes were cooked well, and we were not rushed at all while we were dining. Service was fantastic. I believe it was the owner who helped us, and he was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I got the sense that they do a lot of takeout catering orders. Multiple people came in and brought out large orders, and their setup inside seemed a bit geared towards that (though there was still a lot of space to eat).

We are always on the lookout for the best briyani at every city we visit. Hands down this is one of the best we have come across and we will always make an effort to visit this palace for the chicken and goat briyani. We have also tried the shrimp briyani which was amazing and the chicken65 and butter chicken which goes really well with the naan bread. The mild has a good amount of spice level and if you are adventurous you can try the medium. Always end the meal with the masala chai. We also take this to go , traveling on a plane back to the OC and they do an amazing job packing this to make sure there will be no spill. The owner, Sridhar is alway so friendly and making sure we get the best service. #makanclub20
